Fresh off the back of Tulisa’s departure, ITV has confirmed that Sharon Osbourne will be returning to The X Factor…

Osbourne who was a judge during the talent show’s first four series from 2004 – 2007 has been fully reinstated by Simon Cowell, and will sit side by side with Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger who will be returning for her second year on the panel.

Speaking about the changes, Cowell joked: “Three words I never thought I’d say… welcome back Sharon!”

The tenth series see’s a return to the audition rooms after a five year absence. If the acts pass the first audition they will then have to perform at an arena to prove that they have what it takes for Boot Camp and the Live Shows.

Following in the footsteps of Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger Tower Burger and Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio have been unveiled as the latest judges on The X Factor USA…

Following the departures of Britney Spears and LA Reid, Rowland and Rubio who is a former judge on Mexico’s version of The Voice will join Simon Cowell and returning judge Demi Lovato on the show’s third run Fox announced on Monday (May 20).

In a statement, Cowell said: “It’s taken more than a decade, but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!). 

“Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”

Rowland said: “I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family.” 

Kelly who was a judge on the UK edition of The X Factor in 2011, added: “It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the States.”

Let’s just hope that Kelly doesn’t pull any fake illnesses this time around!

Possibly one of the worst kept secrets, but hey ho Tulisa has finally confirmed her exit from the X Factor after two series on the judging panel.

The former N-Dubz singer appeared to sugar coat her departure and failing career  as she announced on Twitter that she is leaving after two series to “do something different”, and teased that she will be making “a very exciting announcement soon”.

“Just wanted to let you all know that I won’t be part of the X Factor panel this year,” she wrote. “I’ve had a great time on the show, but this year it’s time to do something different.

“I’d like to thank everyone on The X Factor for two amazing years. Stay tuned as I have a very exciting announcement soon!”

It has been heavily rumoured that Sharon Osbourne is set to replace Tulisa on the tenth series and is reported to have already closed a deal estimated at between £1.5 million and £1.8 million to return.

Tulisa’s departure comes after confirmation from Louis Walsh that he and Gary Barlow will return for the new series.

Oh snap…’Grown Woman’ has been leaked. The Beyoncé track used for the latest Pepsi commercial has surfaced online last night (20 May).Beyoncé has taken it back to her roots and it has been produced by the powerhouse that is Timbaland, who has worked his magic with the heavy percussion in this song.

Grown Woman has been widely tipped to appear on Beyoncé’s latest album (which still has no confirmed title or release date). 

The leaked version is slightly different to the one used on her tour, however there is still no confirmation that this leak is an official version. The Soundcloud version has since been deleted. 

Just when you think Beyoncé is out of the news…she’s back in it again. This is Queen Bey’s year and she’s making it known and this song can’t be anything but a hit, right?

Awww…a big congratulations to Rochelle (The Saturdays) and Marvin (JLS) who welcomed their new born yesterday (20 May) are said to be ‘overjoyed’.

The couple have named their daughter Alaia-Mai Humes (which we won’t try to pronounce). Marvin yesterday tweeted ”We welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes..Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for your love x,” 

The messages of congratulations followed from fellow Saturday, Mollie King; who tweeted ”Incredible news @MarvinHumes and @RochelleTheSats. Can’t wait to meet the little beauty! Give mummy a hug from us please Marv.”

Rochelle is the second member of The Saturday’s to have a baby, and Frankie Sandford has recently announced her pregnancy. It looks like The Saturday’s will have a junior group in no time.

Brave, Inspiring, and Empowered. Those are just a few words to describe Angelina Jolie who revealed that she underwent a preventive double mastectomy earlier this year.

Jolie made the difficult decision after discovering that she carries the BRCA1 gene, which can increase the risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

Angelina, who lost her mother to cancer at age 56, wrote an essay for the New York Times talking about her surgery, the discussions she had with her family – including her children – and said that she had chosen to share her experiences in the hope that others might benefit when it comes to making decisions about their health.

“Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could,” she wrote. “I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy… On April 27, I finished the three months of medical procedures that the mastectomies involved. During that time I have been able to keep this private and to carry on with my work.

“But I am writing about it now because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience. Cancer is still a word that strikes fear into people’s hearts, producing a deep sense of powerlessness. But today it is possible to find out through a blood test whether you are highly susceptible to breast and ovarian cancer, and then take action.”

Jolie revealed that following tests, her doctors estimated she had an 87% risk of developing breast cancer and 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer. She did, however, stress that the risk factors are different for each individual who carries the BRCA1 gene.

She added that her chances of developing breast cancer have now dropped to 5% following the three rounds of surgery.

“I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made,” Jolie continued.

“I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer. It is reassuring that they see nothing that makes them uncomfortable. They can see my small scars and that’s it. Everything else is just Mommy, the same as she always was. And they know that I love them and will do anything to be with them as long as I can.

“On a personal note, I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.

“I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive. So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition.

“Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Centre, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has.

Jolie further continued: “For any woman reading this, I hope it helps you to know you have options. I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices.”

Jolie concluded: “I choose not to keep my story private because there are many women who do not know that they might be living under the shadow of cancer. It is my hope that they, too, will be able to get gene tested, and that if they have a high risk they, too, will know that they have strong options.

“Life comes with many challenges. The ones that should not scare us are the ones we can take on and take control of.”

Fans of Sex and the City prequel The Carrie Diaries will be pleased to learn that the CW (which is famed for cancelling shows in their prime), has renewed the show for a second season!

Yes, Carrie and friends will return to the CW for it’s 2013-2014 season and we couldn’t be happier!

According to HollywoodLife.com, the show is due to air mid-season and expected to return for another 13-episode run, although the CW is yet to confirm the length of the pick-up.

Carrie Diaries and Nikita join previously renewed Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Hart Of Dixie and Beauty And The Beast.

When people think about Mistresses, unless you’re from the UK you probably wouldn’t have heard of it. For us brits, we remember the old BBC drama of the same name, which ran for three series between 2008-2010. Well, it’s only gone and gotten a sexy US make over with some stunning household names some of you will remember…

Mistresses tells the story of four female friends and their involvement in an array of illicit and complex relationships, which more or less follows the same premise of its UK counterpart.

It stars the stunning Alyssa Milano, who viewers will remember starred as Phoebe Halliwell in the WB’s hit supernatural series Charmed which ran for eight seasons, Yunjin Kim (Lost), Rochelle Aytes (White Chicks) and Jes Macallan (Shameless, Greys Anatomy)

Coincidentally this is a networks second attempt to import the British series to US audiences. The first attempt came in 2008 from cable channel Lifetime, who announced it was developing it for a series. Ironically the pilot starred Aytes, and Alyssa Milano’s Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs who starred and produced the pilot that unfortunately didn’t make it to air.

Mistresses offers fun, sass and mystery, which is a fun mix between Desperate Housewives, and Sex and the City. We’re sure that with a stellar cast and consistent excellent writing, the show has the potential to be extremely successful.

It’s due to hit the US June 3 on abc, and is currently set to air on TLC in the UK sometime this year.

It had been widely speculated for a while, but Frankie Sandford has announced that she is pregnant.

The Saturdays star confirmed on Twitter today (May 2) that she and her footballer fiancé Wayne Bridge are expecting their first child together.

Writing on Twitter, Sandford wrote: ”Some big news from me today! Wayne and I are having a baby,”

“We are both SO happy and can’t wait for his or hers arrival!”

Sandford’s Saturdays bandmate Rochelle Wiseman confirmed last November that she and her JLS star husband Marvin Humes were expecting their first child.

First Girls Aloud, then JLS, could this signal the end of The Saturdays?

Is it that time of year already? It certainly seems so. Yet another Cheryl Cole/X Factor related story has emerged. Only this time, Simon Cowell is reportedly “hopeful” that she’ll rejoin The X Factor USA.

According to The Mirror, Cole is said to have met up with Cowell on a number of occasions at his Los Angeles home to discuss a possible comeback on the Fox talent show.

The ex-Girls Aloud star has been rumoured to be returning to the show numerous times since she was axed from the first season in 2011, however it has been reported that she is seriously considering a comeback to the judging panel.

A ‘source’ said: “Simon would love to have Cheryl back. They’re chatting more and more at the moment and he’s hopeful she might be up for coming back.

“She’s still spending a lot of time in the States and wants to move out there so it’s looking more likely to be on the cards.”

We won’t hold our breath for this one until we have more concrete evidence. Though I think we have more chance of another Girls Aloud album than her return to the show!
