Simon Cowell sort of makes an apology for book

Well, Simon Cowell came out of hiding and looking not so haggard after quite a dodgy week after his fling with Dannii Minogue was made public in a new book…

So, last night the author of said book, Tom Bower hosted a swish party – and you will never guess who turned up? Yes that’s right, Simon himself! Did he come to smack Bower round the chops? No, of course not.

He did do the decent thing though and took the opportunity to apologise about the secrets revealed within the book.

“I wish to use this opportunity to make a public apology to those who I embarrassed. I have to apologise to members of my family” with a glint in his eye, he added:

“However, 10 years ago, if I knew someone would be writing a book about me saying I’d made loads of money and s****ed loads of girls, I would have said, ‘Great’.”

Simon went on to say that it had been a tough week for him when the revelations came to light.

“I spent the week under my pillow, and banned newspapers from my house.

“I knew it was bad because friends were sending me sweet messages saying, ‘Are you ok?’”

He did however stress again that the book was unauthorised, but considering Simon attended the book launch, he shook hands with Bower at the end of the night we doubt there’s any hard feelings between them.

Say what you will about a Simon Cowell but at least he can always have a good laugh at himself, right?
